BULÈU: Sardinian Street Arts Festival
Buléu is a festival that celebrates street arts in all their forms and the creativity of Sardinian artists. Buléu means impulse, whirlwind, storm, and the goal is to involve the community in a real emotional storm, aiming to promote reflection on the importance of the street as a collective and free space for socialization and creative expression.

This festival represents a wind of change that smoothes the edges of a sometimes too rigid and rational world, creating a circle where the community can rediscover the pleasure of play, be carried away by imagination, and imagine new possibilities thanks to the magical contribution of artists. The program unfolds over three days along Via Nazionale and its squares.
- The festival will open on Friday, the 17th, at 8:00 PM with an aperitif in Piazza Giubileo. Following that, there will be a theatrical performance starring the internationally renowned artist Maurizio Giordo with his show "How was the jester born?"
- On Saturday, the 18th, the day starts at 11:00 AM with the parade of the "Maccabanda" accompanied by the young stilt walkers "I ragazzi di Sanalvó" and the opening of the "Recycling Games Park" in Piazza Giubileo with games created for the occasion and built with recycled materials, revolving around the pedal carousel "l'Abici della gioia". The park will remain open during the two days, and the most skilled individuals can win special prizes. From 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on both Saturday, the 18th, and Sunday, the 19th, there will be five free workshops accessible by reservation (by sending a message on WhatsApp to Francesca Solys at 329.9625099). Participants will learn juggling with "Maimè theater," the art of therapeutic contact with the "Danza delle sfere," jumping and falling techniques with "Parkour," weaving with raffia to create traditional baskets with the "Intrecci" workshop, and the basics of bike maintenance with the "Ciclofficina" workshop. Starting from 4:00 PM, there will be the following shows: "Storie a manovella," "MariKema," "Ulisse nella terra dei Ciclopi," "Happiness," "Il fuoco cammina con me," concluding the evening with music from the "Royal Circus Ostrica."
- On Sunday, the 19th, activities resume at 11:30 AM with the children's show "Il libro di Tito". In the afternoon, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the second day of workshops takes place. Starting from 4:00 PM, the performances resume with the music of "Frammenti '60," followed by "Surf Away" and "Le marionette di Camminando sotto il filo." The festival closes in style with another international artist, Moses Concas, who like Giordo, began his career on the streets, with his solo concert "Armonica e Libertà". Throughout the two days, the street will be filled with vitality, with the presence of the "Asd Rockfella Skateboarding" group, breakdance shows, and parkour performances. There will also be roaming performances adding to the lively atmosphere, including "Musica d'alto livello", "La signorina Triketraka", "GiocolElia", "Trampoli tra le ruote", and more. To further color the street, there will be exhibitions by artisans creating their creations on-site using recycled materials or natural raw materials. The entire festival is dedicated to zero waste and zero litter, with reusable Bulèu glasses distributed, and all setups made from recycled materials.
The event is made possible thanks to the will and support of Mayor Antonio Addis and Tourism Assessor Vanessa Sanna, as well as the Budoni Welcome team, the Budoni Proloco, the Nuoro Provincial Aics, and the generosity of the Forestry Agency. We also thank all the merchants on Via Nazionale who supported the festival with their contributions. The Municipality of Budoni has shown unwavering commitment to promoting and supporting cultural initiatives and is fundamental to the realization and success of Bulèu, the first edition of the Sardinian street arts festival, which we are certain will offer a unique opportunity for the community to immerse themselves in art and creativity. Thanks to collaboration with the Tourism Department, we will be able to offer the public a space to appreciate the work of talented artists in our area, stimulating dialogue and interaction between different forms of artistic expression and the community itself. The event will contribute to strengthening social fabric, creating meaningful connections, and encouraging active participation from individuals of all ages and backgrounds. “If there come the singers, the dancers, and the flute players, buy their gifts too. For they too are gatherers of fruit and frankincense, and that which they bring, though fashioned of dreams, distills for you the breath of your spirit and the fragrance of your heart.” (Kahlil Gibran, "The Prophet")
